Hello 2010!

Wow! I have been a bad blogger. I can't believe that I have not posted since July. It is a new year and I am going to fix that. This year I have not set any resolutions, I don't ever follow them so why bother. Instead I have set goals. They are more obtainable to me. Here is a list of my goals for 2010

• Work out at least 3 days a week (gym, walking outside, wii, weights at home, etc) I got really bad at the end of last year and I am not happy with myself
• Try one new recipe every week. This is a BIG goal for me. I am not a fan of cooking but I am willing to give it a try. Email me at just_jenking@yahoo.com if you have a recipe you think I should try.
• Read 2 books or more per month. This should be no problem as I love to read. I have about 200 books here that I need to read so I better get to it.
• Scrapbook at least one page a week. Scrapbooking is my passion and I need to make sure it fits into my schedule more. I have a lot of memories I need to preserve.
• Drink more water and less pop
• Cut way back on munchies. A combination of munchies and lack of gym has added a few pounds on. NOT a good thing.
• Go to bed earlier. This one is a stretch. I am a night owl and I love it that way.
• Read at least one magazine a week. I have about 100 magazines that I am behind on. I need to get that pile smaller.

I think that these are all goals that I can handle. Keep reading to see how I do.

Nevaeh Marie Elliott 6-6-09

She is here! I was home in TC to spend some time with Skyy before she leaves to go with her Mom for the summer. I choose a good weekend to be there as I was able to witness the birth of my niece Nevaeh Marie. It was absolutely amazing! Alyssa was not due until the 24th but got preeclampsia so they had to induce her. On Friday night they admitted her and gave her pitocin to get the process started. On Saturday morning at 8 they broke her water. Shaun, Skyy and I were at Target buying the stroller/car seat when I got the call to head to the hospital. I got there and Alyssa had just gotten the epidural so she was feeling pretty good. They wanted her to get some rest before she had to start pushing so I went to the waiting room. I was there with her Mom, sister and Step Dad. Eventually Shaun and Skyy showed up. My brother came in and said that she was starting to push so we headed to her room. Alyssa was so week but she did an amazing job and at 4:31 baby Nevaeh entered the world. I was crying worse than the baby and it was just a wonderful event. I am so happy that Alyssa wanted to share the birth with me and I look forward to the relationship that I will have with this beautiful baby. I can't wait to go home during Cherry Festival to spend more time with her. :) Here are some of the many many shots I got.

What a MESS!!!!!

4.5 hours is what it took 3 moving guys to move all this crap from one condo to the other. I can not believe it took so long. It was getting to a point at the end I just wanted to tell them to throw the rest away because there was no more room! UGH!!! We have been here 2 weeks now and I still have a long way to go. Here is some of the mess before I started.

That is where the boxes that were not labeled went as well as all the stuff that needs to go in that room. Ay Ay Ay!!! Our living room the day we moved in. We had it set up enough so we could watch TV. Just in time for the Kentucky Derby.

I can not wait to have it done and show it off to everyone!!!

First game of the season!!

The first game for me this year happened on April 18th. I went with Deanna from work. What a great time and what made it even better is that we won!!


Jay Cutler the new Bears QB threw out the first pitch and did the 7th inning stretch. The crowd went WILD!!!
